Last week I was nearly perfect on my picks. I didn’t see the Sailors getting thumped by the Tornadoes. Nonetheless, enough beating around the bush. Here are this week’s picks:

LIBERTY-BENTON vs RIVERDALE - Closer game than it should be on paper. I’m going with Riverdale, but I’m not all that confident about it.
NORTH BALTIMORE vs CORY-RAWSON - Both teams with just one win apiece. I don’t see North Baltimore limiting the current BVC leading rusher, Tommy Stauffer. Going with Cory-Rawson.
ARLINGTON vs VAN BUREN - Man, Van Buren has gone through a gauntlet. McComb, Leipsic and Pandora-Gilboa. It doesn’t get easier against Arlington. I’ll go with the Red Devils over the Black Knights
ARCADIA vs PANDORA-GILBOA - Pandora-Gilboa will get it into a running clock situation and try to stay healthy one week before a possible BVC title game against McComb in a week.
HOPEWELL-LOUDON vs VANLUE - One of these teams has Sam Stickley. One of them does not. I am going with the team that does. Give me the Chieftains big.
FINDLAY vs CLAY - Things will be different for the Trojans the second half of the season since they will play without starting quarterback, Tanner Rickle. Clay though is also on their back-up at quarterback. I’ll go with the Trojans over the Eagles.
FOSTORIA vs EASTWOOD - Eastwood made the State Title game in 2017 and took it to overtime. They lost a lot of talent from last year’s team, but they are still a very good team. Eastwood will prevail.
CAREY vs UPPER SANDUSKY - It should be an interesting one at Memorial Field. Each team comes in at 3-2. I’ll take the Blue Devils over the Rams.
MOHAWK vs COLONEL CRAWFORD - Mohawk keeps rolling after having a close one with Seneca East. The Warriors will get to 6-0.
SENECA EAST vs WYNFORD - Since the Northern Ten Athletic Conference started back in 2014 Wynford has won the conference every season. They’ve also never lost a regular season league game (lost to Carey in the playoffs in 2017). I have the Tigers taking down the Royals and handing them their first ever regular season league loss.
TIFFIN COLUMBIAN vs SANDUSKY - Sorry, Tiffin Columbian, I don’t have them winning against an unbeaten Sandusky team. They were my one miss a week ago. Let’s see if lightning strikes twice in the same spot.
TIFFIN CALVERT vs MARGARETTA - The Senecas got back on track against Fremont St. Joe’s. I don’t see them losing again until the postseason.
LAKOTA vs GIBSONBURG - Lakota is starting to get back on the right track, but they won’t take down a team that’s one blemish against them was by an undefeated Mohawk team. Give me the Golden Bears.
MCCOMB vs LEIPSIC - I won’t pick a winner for this game since it’s the game I’m calling tonight, but if McComb has as many issues with penalties as they did against Arlington then Leipsic will make them pay.
