It's never too late to start something, right? When I was apart of our pregame coverage for high school football I got to make picks every week before we went to our game coverage. (Side note, you should listen to the NWO Orthopedics Psych Up Show from 6-6:48 on ESPN 1430 AM / 105.7 FM WFOB and Mix 96.7 WBVI)

 

Needless to say I miss making picks. Here are my picks for week 5:

 

VAN BUREN vs PANDORA-GILBOA - Gotta go with Pandora-Gilboa. Van Buren will make this one exciting just as they did last week against Leipsic

 

LIBERTY-BENTON vs NORTH BALTIMORE - Liberty-Benton lost their first two games of the year by one. They started their BVC slate with two teams that are still unbeaten (Leipsic and P-G). They get win number one tonight.

 

CORY-RAWSON vs ARCADIA - Going with Cory-Rawson in this one. Although, Arcadia does have some athletes that could help this one be close.

 

VANLUE vs RIVERDALE - Riverdale struggled against McComb last week. They right the ship against Vanlue.

 

HOPEWELL-LOUDON vs LEIPSIC - Leipsic showed me in their games against Liberty-Benton and Van Buren how great they can be in stretches. They will beat Hopewell-Loudon, but they have to expand their run game beyond Gavin Lomeli who is second in the BVC in carries.

 

FINDLAY vs ST. FRANCIS - The Knights are back and competitive for the first time in several years. The Trojans have had some of the worst luck to start this year. They change their luck and win at the Glass Bowl tonight.

 

FOSTORIA vs WOODMORE - The Redmen were without some of their best players against a very good Otsego team. They need this one before they travel to Eastwood and Lake the following two weeks. Give me the Redmen.

 

TIFFIN COLUMBIAN vs VERMILLION - Columbian has been impressive after going winless in 2017. They face a Vermillion team that is in the top half of the SBC. I have the Sailors over the Tornadoes by single digits.

 

TIFFIN CALVERT vs FREMONT ST. JOES - Calvert has a bad taste in their mouths after a two point loss to Gibsonburg (Coach Steve Reser's old squad). I have the Senecas winning big on Saturday.

 

SENECA EAST vs MOHAWK - One of the biggest games in the area and the other one featuring 4-0 teams (McComb and Arlington). I'm going with the Warriors over the Tigers and we're gonna see a good game from Warriors QB Keith Jenkins

 

LAKOTA vs SANDUSKY ST. MARY’S - I've got the Raiders in a close one over the Panthers.

 

MCCOMB ARLINGTON - I won't pick this game since this will be the one I'm broadcasting. Should be an exciting one that could determine who wins the BVC
