Okay, so last week there were a few more slip ups than I would like (duh). But this week I have a good feeling about these games. Wait, don’t I think that every week? Let’s get to the picks.
Last week: 11-2, Overall, 23-3
LIBERTY-BENTON vs ARLINGTON - Marshall Rose ran for a school record last week. He doesn’t have that kind of performance against a tough Arlington team. Give me the Red Devils.
CORY-RAWSON vs VANLUE - Vanlue can’t contain Tommy Stauffer. I’ll go with the Hornets over the Wildcats.
LEIPSIC vs ARCADIA - Leipsic, by a lot.
RIVERDALE vs NORTH BALTIMORE - North Baltimore had a chance last week against Cory-Rawson. It should be a fun game, but gotta go with the Falcons over the Tigers.
HOPEWELL-LOUDON vs VAN BUREN - Van Buren won 45-41
Game was played yesterday in order to allow the Hopewell-Loudon community to attend the funeral of former student, Kenadee Sibenaller. I was able to see her play basketball a few times last season, and she was one of the toughest players I saw on the court last season regardless of gender. May she rest in peace.
FINDLAY vs ST JOHN’S -
FOSTORIA vs LAKE - Fostoria showed some promise in the first half against Eastwood. Lake’s two losses have been to Genoa and to Archbold. Teams that will make the postseason. Going with the Flyers.
TIFFIN COLUMBIAN vs CLYDE - I’ve picked against Tiffin Columbian the last two weeks. I’ve been wrong on them the last two weeks. Going with the Tornadoes over the Fliers.
TIFFIN CALVERT vs DANBURY - The Senecas struggled early against the Polar Bears last week. That won’t be the case this week. Calvert wins big.
SENECA EAST vs CAREY - Blaine Swartzmiller already has over 1,000 yards rushing. Carey won’t be able to contain him the whole night. Going with the Tigers over the Blue Devils
MOHAWK vs BUCYRUS - Mohawk rolls to 7-0 along with whoever wins between...
MCCOMB VS PANDORA-GILBOA - I won’t pick this game since this is the game I am calling tonight. Something has to give. Pandora-Gilboa hasn’t been scored on since week 2, and McComb’s lowest output this year was last week when they (only) scored 38. Should be a fun one tonight!
