Fair officials announced, country music recording artist, Easton Corbin will appear at the Grandstands, on Sunday, August 30 to perform, and promote his upcoming album release, "It's about to get real," due out June 30. Corbin signed with Mercury Records, Nashville in 2009, and released his self-titled album, which garnered two number one hits, "A Little More Country Than That," and "Roll With It," shortly there-after. He went on to be nominated for, and win several awards from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music Awards, and American Country Awards. His 2013 album, "All Over The Road," sold over 470,000 copies, and over 2 million singles. Board member and Grandstand Entertainment Chairman, Martin Jay says the board is excited to be bringing back a big concert this year, and is just as excited to welcome Easton Corbin to the fair. "There's a lot of exciting things taking place during fair week, and the Easton Corbin show is going to sort of be our big finale this year," said Jay Jay added, the expense to bring in national touring musical acts is really getting cost prohibitive, and the board really looked hard at all styles of music and acts, before deciding on the Easton Corbin show. Reserve tickets for the concert go on sale July 15. General admission bleacher tickets are $15.00, with reserved Grandstand seating available at $22.00. Track tickets are also available for those wishing to stand on the track at the stage for $28.00. Jay says tickets can be purchased at the fair office, or by phone. Jay said the board decided to rearrange some of the Grandstand shows taking place at the 2015 fair. He added, the demographic of fair-goers has changed, and in an effort to listen to the public, the board decided to make a few changes to the events taking place. Opening night of the fair will see the "Vintage Car" exhibition race at the Grandstands - part of the Linder's Dairy Day, celebrating Jim Linder's the 50th anniversary on Jim Linder's 1965 championship at the Fremont Speedway. All vintage cars will be on display for public viewing, prior to the 7:00 P.M. race. Wednesday's Grandstand entertainment will also debut a Community Appreciation Christian Rock concert, featuring Grace Community Church's, "Ohio Grace" There is no charge to attend the concert at the Grandstands, with paid gate admission into the fair. Thursday evening will showcase the ever-famous Demo Derby, followed by the Broken Horn Rodeo in the Grandstands on Friday. Saturday evening, the action-packed "Tug-a-Truck" pulls will take place. In it's third year at the fair, Jay said the contest is one of the more popular events for the fair, and continues to flourish, with a growing fan base and spectators attending the event. Jay said, as always, there will be plenty of grounds shows, live music shows on the Log Cabin Stage, other attractions, exhibits and rides - all free with pain admission to the fair. "We want to give as much bang for the buck as possible for our fair-goers," he said. Those wanting more information may call the fair office at 419-332-5604, or visit www.sanduskycountyfair.com.
