Discovery Story – Foxes , HPD, FINDLAY

Join us Monday, November 3 at 10am and 1pm, at Oakwoods Nature Preserve’s “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center for a discovery story on foxes! We will read a story that will teach us about where foxes live and there will also be clever games and activities along with a fox craft. The program is recommended for children 3-6 years of age, with an adult companion. Other aged siblings are welcome to attend. The Oakwoods Nature Preserve, “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center is located at 1400 Oakwoods Lane, off West Sandusky Street, off CR 144, west of Findlay. The Wood County Historical Museum is pleased to host a nationally-recognized photography exhibit by Christopher Payne called Asylum: "Inside the Closed World of State Mental Hospitals". The exhibit and companion book will be in the new gallery space at the Wood County Historical Museum May 31 - November 16, 2014. An opening reception is planned for Friday, May 30, from 6-8pm, with Payne's remarks and book signing. This event is free and open to the public.
