ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION, FINDLAY
Help us celebrate this national holiday as we join the Findlay-Flag City Arbors, a Gleaner Life Insurance Society Service Club, along with Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Hancock Parks Foundation, ODNR-Division of Forestry, Hancock SWCD, Forest Resource Service, USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service, Whitetails Unlimited, Findlay Shade Tree Commission, and the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation as they partner with the Hancock Park District to plant a tree at Litzenberg Memorial Woods.
Join us on Friday, April 25, from 9:30am-11:30am at Litzenberg Memorial Woods; a 227 acre park located at 6100 U.S. Route 224 West (approximately 5 miles west of Findlay), to plant a tree and enjoy several Arbor Day demonstrations, followed by refreshments provided by Missy’s Munchies. Feel free to bring a packed lunch to enjoy under the picnic shelter. You will be welcome to take a small tree with you to plant at your school or in your yard at home.
LITTLE FAITH MINISTRIESCHRISTIAN JAM, TIFFIN
The "Little Faith Ministries", 230 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio will present Christian Jam Friday, April 25th beginning at 6pm. This is open mic so if you sing or play an instrument, you are welcome to join in. Those who just want to come and listen will hear a nice selection from Traditional, Contemporary, and Country Gospel.

2014 CABARET FEATURES VAN BUREN SHOW CHOIR
The Association, the award-winning show choir of Van Buren High School, will present Cabaret 2013 at 7 P.M. Friday and Saturday, April 25th and 26th in the Van Buren High School Auditorium.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for senior citizens/students (K-12). They can be purchased in advance during the following times at the school’s ticket booth: 7:30 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. Monday-Friday, 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday-Thursday the week of the show and one hour before each performance Friday and Saturday evening. All tickets are for reserved seating.
Cabaret 2014 is the annual end-of-year celebration and talent showcase of The Association and The Essentials, the award-winning instrumental combo of the show choir. Members of the show choir will present a variety of solo and ensemble music, from Broadway to rock ‘n’ roll and country. The show choir will also perform their competition show, which features “Hallelujah,” “Gone, Gone, Gone,” and “Just Dance, Dance, Dance.” The men perform “Devil with a Blue Dress On” and the women sing ‘I Love Rock and Roll.”
The show choir represents the music department, high school and community in performances and competitions throughout the state of Ohio and beyond, and has received numerous awards. The group is under the direction of James Vaughn, Richard Eakin (instrumental combo director), Shane Coe (choreographer) and Linda Schwemley (business and crew manager).
